• Duties of the Citizens Commission on Local Government Citizens Commission on Local Government in counties with a population between 170,000 and 200,000 has the following duties:

  2. Make Recommendations: Based on its study, the commission shall provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of local governance.

  3. Membership Qualification Oversight: The commission ensures that its membership qualifications are met, including the selection and appointment of 18 private citizens by the existing members.
